Mission Statement

Second Chance Rescue specializes in the rescue and placement of abused, unwanted and abandoned companion animals.  We are a no-kill shelter; no animal will be euthanized for lack of space, and we do not discriminate on the basis of health, age or breed. Our animals are examined, vaccinated, spayed and neutered and receive all medical treatment before they are placed in carefully screened homes.  Second Chance Rescue believes educating the community and stressing the importance of spaying and neutering are the best ways to raise awareness of the plight of homeless animals.

Lives saved in 2012: 810 The statistic for 2012:

Adopted out 760 animals (Dogs 619, Cats 124, Rabbits 6, Guinea Pigs 5 and Horses 6) 

Lives saved in 2011: 976.  The statistics for 2011:

Adopted out 930 animals (Dogs 690, Cats 211, Rabbits 9, Guinea Pigs 6 and Horses 14)

Founded in 1985 with 27 years of saving over 33,000 companion animals.
